Whilst studying I decided to try to gain some valuable experience in Social Care and applied to join P.S recruitment agency. The application process was quick and simple, the staff were friendly and supportive, explaining all aspects of their expectations in line with my expectations of the types of clients I would be hoping to work with. I was up and running within a few weeks following my DBS certificate and the work was readily available, should I require it.

Being able to gain the added experience gave me confidence and the tools required to engage with people on all levels, allowing for a positive experience all round.

Having successfully completed my Degree I was put forward by Zara to work within a charity on a temp to perm basis, this experience was also very insightful, gave me knowledge and experience engaging with clients and co-workers. This work ended abruptly after a short time due to a permanent worker returning from long term sick leave. Luckily Zara was able to get me another opportunity within a matter of weeks. That was 19 months ago and I am still working there, and loving my role as Social Worker within Manchester City Council.

I have also had opportunity to recommend P.S Recruitment provision to work alongside my team and this has overall worked out very positively.

P.S staff in the office are always on hand should there be any concerns or requests for service. Although autonomous working is required there is always support at the end of a phone line

I first came to PS Recruitment when I had 7 months away from university. My friend had recommended them to me and unlike other agencies I enquired about, did not mind that I was initially only intending to work for 7 months. It took about two weeks to gather my ID, attend an initial interview, check my DBS and references and complete the mandatory training. The training is a single day and it just ensures that staff are working safely and are up to date with safeguarding procedures.

I started out work at a charitable trust who provide services to children and young people and it was here I learned how to carry out many personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, continence care. With this organisation I was offered a 3 month contract which meant I had regular work with a regular team, which is better for the service users, my colleagues and for me.

I returned to university for a while and once I had graduated, I returned to PS because I knew that they would keep me as busy as I wanted to be. I did ad hoc shifts, for the summer, booking in a day or two at a time, allowing me to choose when to go on my family holiday and be flexible for my work life balance.

I then worked for 6 months at a local authority children’s home, with a group of teenaged lads. This longer post gave me the opportunity to build relationships with the young people. I moved on to work at a private residential children’s home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I was offered a permanent contract here, until for various reasons, I chose to resign. Of course, I came to back to PS and I was quickly busy again.

They recently secured me a job interview for a home carer post at a not-for-profit trust close to home. I was successful in this and have now embarked on my new role.

I am currently working with PS Recruitment Specialists. They are the best Agency I ever worked with. They have a lot of shifts and the staffs are good and helpful Thank you Team 

I am honestly very pleased and happy with Ps Recruitment team; staff has been always very approachable and supportive from the very first minute to this date. I first became involved with PS in 2013 after leaving continuous employment for 27 years! I took a temp to perm role with a large charitable organisation and was promoted persistently for 3 years.
