Driving Safe in The Winter Weather – Top Tips

default

As winter is now here PS Recruitment want to make sure that all our staff are prepared for the cold, Icy weather. If you are a driver you must ensure that your vehicle is ready for the winter weather.

Here are some useful tips to follow to make sure your vehicle is fit for the winter:

1.Check your battery – Older batteries are usually more prone to have trouble starting
2.Change your windscreen wiper blades and top up your wiper fluid – Installing new wipers can help to increase visibility
3.Check your tyre pressure – Cold air can cause tyre pressure to drop
4.Check your anti-freeze mixture – The important information such as the ratio of mixture and type of anti-freeze can be found in the vehicle handbook
5.Change the oil – Fresh oil can increase the efficiency of your vehicle in colder weather
6.Stock your car with emergency supplies, for example: folding shovel, blanket, first aid kit, torch and roadside reflectors

If you are a non-driver and need help to plan your journey to and from shifts using public transport, follow this useful link below:
